OUR PEOPLE
Message from Our Principal
Kia ora koutou
On behalf of the Staff and the Board of Trustees, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all children and school families.
Martinborough School has many fine traditions and a well defined community culture. This proud history gives us strength, and the foundation for our students to grow into valued members of society. We place strong emphasis on manaakitanga, working together to create a supportive, successful, school culture and community.
Our students learn in vibrant, creative surroundings. At Martinborough School we are focussed on encouraging life long learning. We focus on how teaching and learning can best happen in our environment. Martinborough School’s SPIRIT values (see below) underpin our learning contexts, helping create and grow effective learners.
Our team believes success at school depends on a critical partnership between school, each student, and their family. Whanau engagement ensures quality educational experiences for all our students. We encourage your involvement in our classrooms and our environment to support our children’s learning. Your enthusiasm and support for your children’s education is a vital aspect of your child’s success at school.
Welcome to the team. I look forward to talking with you.
Craig Nelson
Principal
